Items are shipped using various methods. If there is a specific timeframe by which you need the item, please email PRIOR to purchasing to work out the details. Items that ship via USPS Parcel Post or Media Mail can take up to 4 weeks to arrive. A small parcel shipped from CT to MD on 12/12/10 arrived on 12/31/10 - 19 days in transit!

There is a relatively new way of stealing called "Porch Pirating" whereby packages are stolen right from people's porches and mail boxes, especially around the Christmas season. I discovered this when an item I shipped through Federal Express was stolen from the Buyer's front porch. She found the box in her backyard, but, the item was gone. Federal Express said that people actually follow the trucks and take the items as they deliver them! Unfortunately, we both learned the hard way that shipping insurance does not cover items that were stolen after delivery. It is considered a theft and the shipping companys' response is to report it to your local Police Department and to your Homeowners insurance. Of course, deductibles make it a loss to the Buyer. Please keep a lookout for it or communicate with your Mail/Package Carrier to ensure you receive your package.
